A review of Sandal Farm Restaurant by Parkinsons bradford written on Sunday 31st of October 2010
Parkinsons bradford and shipley branch went to sandals farm restaurant at lunchtime 31october 2010. we had not been for many years and i thought we had gone back to 1989 when we took our father when he was 60(he is 83 now!). timewharp! who was the man walking around talking to diners? the owner! unfortunateley he bypassed our table (18 of us). we were hurriedly made aware that we were having 2 courses of something but didn,t seen to be ask what. then we were frogmarched to a corner of the restaurant and made to queue up for our starter to which i chose garlic mushrooms only to be given a peice of white sliced bread with what looked like chesswood creamed mushrooms on a side plate!(not good). then we were told we could get our main course of a roast dinner carvery. the meat was old and overcooked and the staff were rude i got 2 roast potatoes with cauliflour cheese(overcooked badly) with carrotts but there was no sauce for my gammon(then i realise it was pork!)ther was no background music until i requested it and then we were hurried again by staff checking watches and collecting our glasses etc, without so much as a word. all this for 2 courses 9.95. move with the times and ditched the funeral director and refurbish the laying out room-we are not dead yet. marks out of 10= 3 value for money= 2 atmosphere = 1 come out of the dark ages and move with the times! we shall not be going there again..
