"Delicious Ukrainian Rye bread"

I was born in London during the Blitz and my parents left my brother and I with an old Ukranian Lady whilst they were off on Air raid warden and ambulance duty.

This old lady used to make Ukranian style rye bread with caraway seed and it is my first memory of it. When we moved north after the war we could not get this wonderful bread until I happened across some on a food market stall at Bingley a year or so ago. What fond memories it brought back of a lovely, kindly, gentle old lady that had been forced out of her homeland when communism took over her country.I strongly urge the readers to try this delicious bread as it is absolutely to die for.
