After Migrating to Australia in 1952 my parents returned to England for the first time in 1972.

Having lived in Bradford they bought their engagement ring from Fowler & Oldfield so on returning for a holiday in 1972 my father bought another ring from your store on the 26/10/1972 receipt no.004485 a 3 stone diamond ring 18ct gold for 135 pounds which would have been quite an amount at that time.

When my mother passed away in 1980 my father gave me the ring in the box and with the receipt still in it.

I wanted to let you know that I still wear your ring with many fond memories of her and also my late father and of Bradford.
