"St Mary's - a sad loss"

A review of St Mary's R C Church by Alan Sharkey written on Friday 22nd of August 2008

I have only just discovered that my great grandfather was married at St Mary's in 1883 and had planned to visit the church, only to discover that it has now closed. My great grandfather was born in Bradford but his father came to Bradford from Ireland and clearly the Roman Catholic tradition remained with the Sharkey family in Bradford for many generations. One of these reviews mentioned the collection of photographs etc and I would love to know what records there may be of St Marys in 1883, or indeed of there is any recollection of the Sharkey family.
