A review of Lahore Restaurant by Saj written on Sunday 14th of October 2007
I am surprised by the previous commentator. This is a stylish bar for a younger crowd, and it was the farst of the cafe bar's in bradford, long before mumtaz was tarted up, anams launched or ambala rebuilt across the road. It is a little mroe pricy than its neighbours, but that keeps just exclusive enough to keep out poor students, the service is ALWAYS second to none, and the chef was changed about two years ago, since then, honestly, the food is some of the best in Bradford, the menu also has undergone some drastic changes with helthy options and pannini bites available in addition to traditional indian dishes. Many many families eat there, particularly young families with children, although, I can understand that it probably isn't totally a family restaurant. It doesnt try to be. The family version of this restaurant is now Ambala further up the road, but it is still the place to go and relax for the young hip crowd. In Bradford the only place I like more is Cafe bleu, but unfortunately that is daytime only.
