"Oldest grower in the north"

One of the oldest market gardeners in the north John Keeling has done it all Roses Orchid's research testing development organic ect ect with 1/2 ache of new glass John Keeling jr had everything he needed to be one of the lardgest development nurseries in the north but due to ecomonic down turn & the organic garden boom the chance was mist. I have resently visitiorted John after a 20yr absence to see all the hard work of the late 80s / early 90s gone to waste I spent the the first years of my working life with john learning my horticultural trade some of it in the most old fashioned ways you could ever imaagin but most of those years the best of my career.He still runs oil fired boiler (new in 93) but only uses 20% of the gass these days down from over 200 tomato plants down to just 6 last yr most of the glass is for his beloved orchids witch sadly is just a private collection these days but probably still the best in the north this little buisiness has been around for more than 100yrs but is going to the wall due to under development & funding this makes me very sad the land is good & in a prim location (open for development housing) witch should not happen if only how many times has that been said if only well I'm saying it now John has no son's to take the nursuries on & this will be the final generation of orchid growers in the keeling family I dont want this to happen but unless investors come in save this little gem of a place there will be no option I want to take the glass on but need investment revenew what a differance 20 yrs makes lets hope we get what we need to keep this Historic nursuries up & running
