A review of Queensbury Baptist Church by Margaret Stork written on Wednesday 17th of March 2010
Now retired, and looking back to my time in Queensbury, what a smashing time the children had at the Sunday School, morning and afternoon. When we were old enough, then went to the Youth Club. I used to love exploring the Sunday School Building, rooms here and rooms there, up the stairs by the entrance door to find the door locked. The Prize giving days were lovely. The Youth club used to do concerts and it was so exciting peeping out from behind the curtains. The lovely books we used to be given for attendances. I still have my Famous Five book with the book plate in. At around 14 or 15 yrs of age loosing interest seemed to be the norm, which was such a shame. I have never forgotton the stories we were told in Sunday School and the lovely times we had. I have lived in Devon for 41 yrs now but my family are still around Queensbury. We lived in the Navvy Houses (now a little estate). Thank you for memories which I cherish. .
